RESiLICON is pleased to join the European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC) and to be represented by Carsten Rohr, solar energy expert and Co-Chair of ESMC.

ESMC represents the European PV manufacturing industry and works to promote solar manufacturing in Europe by supporting a strong political and industrial framework across the value chain.

As a future European producer of ultra-pure polysilicon and silane, RESiLICON is committed to strengthening upstream capacity within that value chain. Through its membership, the company will contribute to advancing industrial resilience and strategic energy security at European level.

As Carsten Rohr notes:

“RESiLICON’s ambition to produce ultra-pure polysilicon in Europe aligns strongly with ESMC’s goal of reinforcing the entire solar manufacturing value chain. Strengthening upstream material production is essential if Europe is to rebuild competitive and resilient industrial capacity. I am pleased to represent RESiLICON in this effort.”

In addition, Chief Commercial Officer Carl J. van Vugt Luning has joined the ESMC Manufacturing Group and the SolarPower Europe ‘Made in Europe’ Working Group, contributing to broader industry coordination.

At RESiLICON, we believe Europe’s energy transition and digital ambitions must be built on a strong industrial foundation. The planned facility in Groningen is designed to support resilient European value chains across solar, batteries and semiconductors.

The company welcomes dialogue with stakeholders across the value chain who are committed to strengthening Europe’s industrial base.
