Creating the right conditions to finance new European manufacturing capacity was a central theme at the EU PVSEC Industry Summit in Rotterdam this week.

RESiLICON CEO Remco Rijn joined a discussion on the bankability of European PV manufacturing, including the importance of early cooperation between the public and private sectors. This cooperation needs to be supported by a predictable regulatory framework, giving customers and investors greater confidence to make long-term commitments.

For manufacturers, strong technology matters, but it is not enough. Trade restrictions, export controls and supply-chain disruption are increasingly part of the equation.

The discussion is directly relevant to RESiLICON as it continues to develop new ultra-pure polysilicon production capacity in Europe.

Remco was joined Marc Rechter and Paul Gosselink for the discussion, moderated by Walburga Hemetsberger and Peter Pasmans.
